The optimization scheduling problem between the tower thermal energy storage system and the battery energy storage system
To address the issue of unstable power supply from photovoltaic and solar thermal power systems, this paper presents an energy management model for a hybrid system based on photovoltaic generation (with battery storage) and tower-type solar thermal generation (with molten salt storage). The model conducts hourly simulations throughout the day and designs a time-segmented optimization scheduling strategy. During the day, photovoltaic and solar thermal power generation work together to meet the load demand, with surplus energy used for storage charging. At night, the molten salt storage system provides baseline power supply, while the battery storage assists in meeting sudden load increases. The model fully considers factors such as charging and discharging efficiency, storage capacity limitations, and sudden load disturbances, successfully achieving optimal scheduling of the hybrid system. Simulation results using MATLAB verify that this scheduling method can effectively improve the utilization of the energy storage system, ensuring efficient use of daytime generation and stable power supply at night, providing theoretical and technical support for the operational optimization of hybrid generation-storage systems.
