Preliminary Assessment of Morphological Responses of Venus B39 Kohlrabi to Egg Fertilizer

The study was conducted to preliminarily assess the effects of substituting inorganic fertilizers with egg fertilizer on the morphological characteristics of the Venus B39 kohlrabi variety in Gia Lam, Hanoi. The experiment included four treatments: Control- 100% inorganic fertilizer (100 kg N - 90 kg P<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>O<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">5</inf>- 150 kg K<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>O ha−1); EF 25 - 75% inorganic fertilizer + 25% egg fertilizer; EF 50 - 50% inorganic fertilizer + 50% egg fertilizer; and EF 100 - 100% egg fertilizer (concentration of 15%<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">0</inf>, applied at 800 L ha−1). The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The results indicated that replacing inorganic fertilizer with egg fertilizer significantly affected key morphological traits of kohlrabi. Among the evaluated traits, plant height, bulb diameter, and canopy diameter exhibited strong correlations. These findings suggest that egg fertilizer has the potential to be an alternative nutrient source to inorganic fertilizers in the cultivation of Venus B39 kohlrabi in Gia Lam, Hanoi.
