PSO-Based Nonlinear Energy Harvesting Sum Maximization in IRS-Assisted WET System
An intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) leverages low-priced, smartly reflective components to boost reflective beamforming gain and optimize the performance of wireless energy transfer (WET). In our work, an IRS supports the WET system where the receivers have the practical nonlinear energy harvesting (EH) model. The target is to find the optimal phase configuration for optimizing the nonlinear EH sum of the receivers. The proposed approach based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) method is designed and evaluated by numerical simulations. Finally, the fast convergence and EH sum results are shown via the system parameters.
