Research on AVC Performance Assessment of Power Grid Under High Renewable Penetration
With the high penetration of renewable energy, voltage violations and reactive power imbalances have become prominent in the power grid. Existing automatic voltage control (AVC) systems based on multi-zone diagram control strategy lack adaptability, leading to reduced performance in complex scenarios. Relevant research on AVC performance assessment has not fully accounted for the impact of renewable energy output variations and other factors. This paper studies the AVC performance assessment of the power grid under high renewable penetration. First, a linearized model of the nine-zone diagram control (NDC) strategy is developed. Second, an evaluation index system is constructed. Finally, using an improved IEEE-33 test system, typical scenarios are selected to analyze the effectiveness of the NDC strategy and evaluate AVC system performance.
