Fully Actuated System Models for Systems in System Upper Hessenberg Form

Motivated by the recent result on the transformation of strict-feedback systems (SFSs) with increasing dimensions into fully actuated system (FAS) models, a FAS model for a class of systems in the system upper Hessenberg form is proposed in this paper. A direct explicit solution to convert the system in the system upper Hessenberg form into a FAS is developed in this paper, which brings the convenience and directness to the model transformation process. First, an appropriate preprocessing is applied to the considered system. Secondly, a state transformation is presented based on the Hessenberg form and the existing method, and the explicit solution of the considered model transformation problem is given. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed direct explicit solution.
