Research on Development Trend and Key Issues of Grid-connected Smart Microgrid
Although grid-connected microgrids (MGs) are gaining increasing popularity with the development of power and intelligent technologies, there has been no clear consensus on their core composition and characteristics. This paper discusses the development trend and key issues of smart microgrid, reviews the process of microgrid from origin to development and then to deep integration with new power system, and analyzes the development mode of microgrid in different countries and its enlightenment to China. Four core characteristics of smart microgrid in the new power system are pointed out, including clean and low-carbon, multi-energy complementary, smart and flexible, and swarm coordination. It is pointed out that the current smart microgrid faces several key problems, such as the lack of detailed technical standards, the difficulty of collaborative planning with distribution grid, and the imperfect management mechanism and price mechanism, and puts forward corresponding suggestions, aiming to provide theoretical support and decision-making reference for the orderly development of smart microgrid and better serve the construction of new power system.
