A New Ultrasonic Phased Array Scanning Method for Internal Inspection of Gas Pipelines
This paper presents a novel ultrasonic phased array scanning method for the internal of gas pipelines. The proposed method achieves a complete scanning of the pipeline interior by sequentially focusing on multiple points. Firstly, the number of array partition elements is determined by analyzing the distribution of the activation field, thereby building a ring array model. Subsequently, to calculate the delay time interval of each array element, delay laws are formulated by integrating the scanning method with the geometry structure of the pipeline internal. Finally, the transmission timing sequence is simulated through Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), and the corresponding circuit is designed. The results demonstrate that the developed scanning method achieves comprehensive scanning of the pipeline interior while maintaining FPGA performability.
