Optimization of Maintenance Strategies in Oil Refineries Using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Assessment
Oil and gas play a significant role in the life and economy of the world and every country. Maintenance work is one of the essential tasks for oil and gas companies. This study uses the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) assessment method to evaluate maintenance status in oil refineries. OEE is a crucial metric that integrates availability, performance, and quality to measure equipment efficiency. By analyzing OEE data, this research classifies critical equipment groups that affect refinery operations and suggests optimal maintenance practices to enhance productivity and reduce downtime. The findings in the article indicate that targeted predictive maintenance and real-time monitoring significantly improve OEE scores, ensuring higher operational efficiency in oil refineries. The research demonstrates that OEE assessment is an effective diagnostic tool for identifying inefficiencies in oil refinery operations and enhancing maintenance operational optimization.
