Phase-Locked-Loop Rotor Position Estimation for Six-Phase Open-End Winding PMSMs Based on Detection Coils
Aiming at the problem that no position sensor is affected by the structure and parameters of the motor, this paper proposes a method of obtaining the rotor position of a permanent magnet synchronous motor by detecting the induced voltage of the coils, which has the advantage of not being affected by the structural parameters of the motor. It shows a broad application prospect in the field of sensorless control. Firstly, two sets of mutually orthogonal probing coils are arranged on the stator slots inside the permanent magnet motor to sense the fundamental voltage in the air gap magnetic field, and the phase-locked loop processes the acquired voltage signals containing position information and rotational speed information. Next, IF open-loop startup control is used to transition smoothly to sensorless closed-loop control. Finally, an experimental validation based on a six-phase open-winding permanent magnet synchronous motor is carried out, and the results show that the proposed scheme can achieve effective rotor position tracking performance.
