An Improved JMCFIE-DDM Method for Composite Target Scattering Calculations

In this letter, an improved electric and magnetic current combined-field integral equation with domain decomposition method (ImJMCFIE-DDM) for composite target scattering calculations is proposed. In this work, some improvements have been made. Firstly, the variable coefficient DDM (VDDM) is proposed by introducing a variable coefficient into the traditional DDM for adjusting the convergence. Compared to traditional DDM, VDDM can greatly reduce iteration steps and calculation time. In view of the multiscale reality existing in each region of the composite target, as well as division of the open boundary surface and interface, discontinuous Galerkin (DG) technology and JMCFIE are combined to form DG-JMCFIE. Finally, VDDM is introduced into DG-JMCFIE to form ImJMCFIE-DDM. Compared with the traditional JMCFIE-DDM, this method has a wider application range, fewer iteration steps and less calculation time.
