Oblique Incidence Analof Phase Rotation Unit Cells for Polarization Conversion and Beam Steering.

This paper investigates Phase Rotation unit cells under oblique incidence for polarization conversion and beam steering. The study focuses on under LHCP excitation across 12.5-14.5GHz with incidence angles from 0 to 60.Simulation results show that the unit cell maintains effective polarization conversion at an incidence angle below 30 degrees. However, for an incidence angle greater than 30 degrees, declines due to phase distortion, while also increases, thereby reducing the overall polarization conversion efficiency.Rising and at higher angles indicate reflection losses. These findings emphasize the need for geometric and material optimization to enhance angular stability, beam steering, and metasurface-based polarization control.
