Furan Silylethers: Access to Functionalized (Hydro)quinones and Polycyclic Aromatics for Optoelectronic Applications

We have explored the use of a bench-stable furan monosilylether as a Diels-Alder diene for the synthesis of functionalized hydroquinone and quinone materials. Their use is demonstrated in the synthesis of larger polycyclic compounds for organic materials applications.
