IMPLEMENTAÇÃO E ADESÃO AO PROTOCOLO IAM EM HOSPITAIS DE PEQUENO PORTE: DESAFIOS E OPORTUNIDADES
ABSTRACT This study examines the challenges and opportunities in implementing and adhering to the Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) Protocol in small hospitals. It highlights significant issues such as structural limitations, inadequate equipment, and a shortage of specialized personnel, as well as administrative hurdles in managing integrated care processes. At the same time, the potential for improvement is underscored through the adoption of innovative technologies, modern management philosophies, and continuous training programs for emergency teams. The findings suggest that standardizing patient care and integrating with other health units can enhance patient safety and reduce AMI-related mortality, thereby contributing to more effective and humane care delivery even in resource-constrained settings.
