EFICÁCIA DA TERAPIA A LASER NO TRATAMENTO ENDODÔNTICO DE LESÕES PERIAPICAIS PERSISTENTES

Given the constant evolution of therapeutic approaches in Dentistry, laser therapy has emerged as a promising technology, especially in endodontic treatments that present complications or failures. This study aimed to report a clinical case that evaluated the regression of a persistent periapical lesion using digital periapical radiographs involving tooth 41, which underwent conventional endodontic treatment combined with low-level laser therapy and the use of bioceramic intracanal medication. The patient had undergone multiple intracanal medications without significant clinical improvement, although the lesion remained present. The results demonstrated complete regression of the lesion, without complications or additional complications. Therefore, this study reinforces the potential of laser therapy as a viable, effective, and less invasive approach for the treatment of refractory periapical lesions, in addition to contributing to the deepening of scientific and clinical knowledge about its application in Endodontics.
