Takayasu Cardiomyopathy: A Case Report of a Young Female Abstract
This case study discusses the management of a 24-year-old woman with severe respiratory distress and stress-induced cardiomyopathy.Initial presentation included hypoxia, shock, and metabolic acidosis, necessitating mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, and antibiotics.Diagnostic evaluations revealed multifocal lung consolidations and significant left ventricular (LV) dysfunction. The patient's condition improved with comprehensive multidisciplinary care, including cardiology and infectious disease consultations. This case highlights the critical need for prompt, coordinated treatment in complex medical scenarios and underscores the importance of thorough diagnostic assessments to guide effective management strategies and achieve favourable patient outcomes.
