Оновлення й розширення поняттєво-термінологічного поля спортивної лексики на сучасному етапі мовного розвитку

The scientific article examines the objective processes of updating and expanding the conceptual and terminological field of sports vocabulary at the current stage of language development, brought to life by new realities and contexts. The purpose of the publication is to attempt, using the example of the sports industry, to investigate the most general language-forming processes, thanks to which the active vocabulary of the Ukrainian language is replenished and enriched. In addition, it is shown that some external influences on the dynamics of professional language formation and enrichment can be artificially organized, therefore, in a certain context, they can slow down or speed up these processes. The theoretical basis of the study was the works of domestic scientists in the field of linguistics over the past almost a hundred years, considered from the perspective of the development of certain sports disciplines. Results. The fundamental task of our analysis was to identify the features of the widespread use of names, realities, terms, and concepts to designate the so- called young sports, generated by modern trends and interests, youth fashion, various subcultures, etc. We have made an attempt to clarify the reasons for the emergence of lexicographic disproportion in the field of physical culture and sports in Ukraine at the turn of the 20th–21st centuries in the projection on the outlined problem. The study also attempts to classify lexical units from the perspective of their objectification in the course of modern language-forming processes. The proposed scientific practice focuses the attention of a wide audience of representatives of your field on the dynamism and continuity of the process of replenishing the professional conceptual and terminological stock of the Ukrainian language in the course of socio- historical development. Conclusions. The publication uses specific examples selected from the practice of mass media to illustrate socially oriented and ideological influences on the dynamics of the expansion of this dictionary, emphasizing that these processes are global, not selective, local in nature.
