Vulnerability Assessment of Port Electricity-Hydrogen-Logistics Coupled Networks Using Hybrid Power Transfer Distribution Factors

Hydrogen energy has emerged as a clean power solution driving green transitions in ports, while electricity-hydrogen-logistics coupled networks remain vulnerable to disruption events. To enhance operational security and transportation reliability during contingencies, this study proposes a vulnerability assessment framework for designing resilient port-integrated energy networks. The framework comprises four methodological components: First, network graph representation using complex network theory; Second, construction of global sensitivity matrices through hybrid power transfer distribution factors; Third, cascading failure simulation via vulnerability attack strategies; Fourth, quantitative vulnerability evaluation using matrix spectral norm analysis. A case study is conducted on an integrated system comprising IEEE 30-bus power network, 8-node hydrogen network, and 15-node logistics system. The results indicate that the spectral norm effectively identifies critical nodes in the port electricity-hydrogen-logistics coupled network. Furthermore, spectral norm variation rates show strong correlation with system vulnerability levels, providing theoretical foundations for mitigating risks in hydrogen-integrated port networks.

Abstract

Hydrogen energy has emerged as a clean power solution driving green transitions in ports, while electricity-hydrogen-logistics coupled networks remain vulnerable to disruption events. To enhance operational security and transportation reliability during contingencies, this study proposes a vulnerability assessment framework for designing resilient port-integrated energy networks. The framework comprises four methodological components: First, network graph representation using complex network theory; Second, construction of global sensitivity matrices through hybrid power transfer distribution factors; Third, cascading failure simulation via vulnerability attack strategies; Fourth, quantitative vulnerability evaluation using matrix spectral norm analysis. A case study is conducted on an integrated system comprising IEEE 30-bus power network, 8-node hydrogen network, and 15-node logistics system. The results indicate that the spectral norm effectively identifies critical nodes in the port electricity-hydrogen-logistics coupled network. Furthermore, spectral norm variation rates show strong correlation with system vulnerability levels, providing theoretical foundations for mitigating risks in hydrogen-integrated port networks.
