Optimal Dipole Antenna for GPR Applications

This paper shows a study of the impedance and radiation characteristics of the several planar dipole designs, suitable for the ultra-wideband applications, especially for use with various ground penetrating radar systems. The broadside radiation and intrinsically low-profile of planar dipoles make them highly suitable for compact and lightweight systems.

Abstract

This paper shows a study of the impedance and radiation characteristics of the several planar dipole designs, suitable for the ultra-wideband applications, especially for use with various ground penetrating radar systems. The broadside radiation and intrinsically low-profile of planar dipoles make them highly suitable for compact and lightweight systems.
