Comparative analysis of the acceptance and usage of 5G in N. Macedonia and Europe

The development of 5G technology undoubtedly has a major impact on socio-economic development. Unlike previous studies on 5G adoption in North Macedonia, this research applies a chi-square statistical analysis to examine the relationship between the 5G usage and demographic or regional factors, offering a novel quantitative perspective on user distribution and service accessibility. This study uniquely uses chi-square analysis to explore how 5G usage in North Macedonia varies across user groups—an approach not seen in prior research. 5G technology connects many sectors, stimulating innovation and creating significant effects on the overall social development. Despite the significance of this progress, so far, we have limited knowledge of the reactions of users to the opportunities generated by 5G technology. The attitude of users towards the technology affects the speed at which the technology becomes all over the markets. The goal of this research is to analyse the adoption and perception of 5G technology in North Macedonia, and to compare them with the trends. By using survey data and applying chi-square statistical tests, the study aims to identify significant relationships between demographic factors (such as age, location, or education) and 5G usage. This study aims to investigate do we need technology with a short life cycle and high financial investments, and such is undoubtedly the 5G technology in comparison with consumption of the benefit of 5G.
