A One-Cycle Control Strategy Based On Positive Sequence Ideal Integrator For Reduced-switch Active Power Filter

Under the condition of non-ideal voltage such as voltage distortion or unbalance, the compensating target current of the active power filter (APF) based on traditional one-cycle control (OCC) will also distort, and the compensation effect will be greatly reduced. This paper presents an modified OCC method based on positive sequence filter, and realizes the control of reduced-switch three-phase APF. This control method eliminates the negative sequence and harmonic components in the target current of the APF, and makes the compensated current maintain a good sinusoidal waveform. The one-cycle control equation applied to the reduced-switch APF is derived and realized by simulation. The modified one-cycle control method makes the APF maintain a good compensation effect under the non-ideal voltage, and does not change the advantages of the traditional one-cycle control, such as no phase-locked loop (PLL), constant switching frequency and simple control.
