Assessment of Power Quality Governance Capability in Distribution Networks Based on Spatiotemporal Complementary Characteristics Analysis

The widespread integration of distributed devices in power distribution networks offers a promising approach to mitigate increasingly critical power quality issues. Accurately assessing the governance capabilities of existing distributed devices has thus emerged as a pressing need for improving power quality in distribution networks. To this end, this paper proposes a novel assessment framework for power quality governance capacity. First, the governance capacity of distributed devices and the required governance capacity of typical loads are quantified. Then, based on voltage sensitivity analysis and historical data, a spatiotemporal complementarity coefficient calculation method is developed to evaluate the spatiotemporal complementarity capability between governance devices and loads. Finally, a case study based on the IEEE 33-node system is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation method.
