Research And Discussion On Global Development Of Hydrogen-based Green Methanol
As a renewable energy source, green methanol has great potential in the future energy transition, especially its importance in combating climate change and promoting sustainable development. Green methanol is synthesized using renewable energy sources (e.g., solar and wind) via water electrolysis to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide capture technology. It produces almost no greenhouse gas emissions and shows obvious environmental advantages over traditional fossil fuels. The paper analyzes the market position of traditional fuels and points out that they are gradually restricted in the context of high carbon emissions and increasing environmental pollution problems. Through the data from 2010 to 2022, the Support Vector Machine (SVM) model is used to predict the future green electricity price and reveal the impact of technological innovation and policy changes on the production cost of green methanol. The results show that with the reduction of renewable energy costs and the implementation of carbon tax policies, the production cost of green methanol is expected to decrease significantly, enhancing its application potential in the transportation and chemical fields. Based on this, the paper suggests strengthening technology research and development and policy support, promoting market promotion and international cooperation. Green methanol is not only an important tool to achieve the dual carbon goal, but also a key part of promoting global sustainable development.
