Underwater Target Inversion Imaging Technology based on Active Electric Field

A novel inversion imaging method for underwater targets utilizing active electric fields is proposed in this paper. This method constructs a virtual electrode array based on two pairs of excitation and receiving electrodes, overcoming the limitation of insufficient aperture caused by the physical size constraints of traditional electrode arrays and achieving effective expansion of the array aperture. Subsequently, a twin-array model for underwater targets was constructed, and the imaging sensitive field was designed to focus directly below the target. This strategy enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of the detection signal and provides more accurate array manifold distributions. Finally, the signal subspace fitting (SSF) algorithm was used to achieve linear imaging of underwater targets. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach enables real-time inversion imaging of underwater targets while offering higher computational efficiency, and outperforms conventional anomaly signal processing imaging methods in terms of overall performance.
