Stability Analysis of Islanded Microgrid with Multiple Induction Motor Loads
The large-scale integration of induction motor loads in islanded microgrids introduces complex nonlinear dynamic characteristics to the load side. However, the load of the microgrid is typically modeled as a single induction motor or static load, which makes it challenging to reflect the instability boundaries and critical influencing factors of the actual scenarios. Thus, this paper proposes a novel islanded microgrid modeling method that considers the complete dynamic behavior of multiple induction motor loads, which could quantify the interactions between motor loads and inverters from various perspectives. Based on eigenvalue theory, the impact of induction motor load on the eigenvalue distribution of an islanded microgrid system was analyzed from the perspectives of load quantity and load factor. Furthermore, key state variables were analyzed using participation factors. Finally, the correctness of the analysis is validated through simulations under different operating conditions.
