Efficiency Characterization of Long Stator Linear Synchronous Motor for EMS Maglev Train

This paper mainly studies the electromagnetic characteristics and efficiency characteristics of high-speed EMS maglev trains. Through simulation modeling and analysis, the influence of various parameters on the efficiency of the long stator linear synchronous motor of the EMS maglev train is explored. By using a GA-PSO Hybrid Algorithm, the parameters for the optimal efficiency are found. The research reveals that motor efficiency demonstrates: (1) negative correlations with stator section length, feeder cable length, air gap dimension, and stator current magnitude; (2) positive correlation with train formation quantity; (3) a characteristic unimodal relationship with operating speed, initially increasing before decreasing beyond an optimal velocity threshold. These findings provide critical insights for the design optimization and operational control of advanced maglev transportation systems.
