Design and simulation analysis of multi-terrain mobile inspection platform

Objective The research on mobile inspection vehicles has always been a hot topic in the field of robotics. At present, the working environment of inspection vehicles is under certain specific obstacles, specific trajectories and flat terrain conditions, so that the complex and changeable terrain features that mobile inspection vehicles may face are rarely considered. Methods Firstly, according to the main function of multi-terrain, the wheel structure adopts six-wheel rocker arm to meet the requirements of multi-terrain. Secondly, through the three-dimensional modeling and design calculation of the whole inspection vehicle, the influence of its suspension structure parameters on the obstacle crossing height is analyzed. Finally, the ADAMS software is used to verify the joint driving ability under various working conditions. Results The results show that the designed inspection platform can achieve the expected obstacle crossing requirements, and the simulation stability of the vehicle body is good when the terrain is different on the left and right sides, which verifies the feasibility of the mobile inspection vehicle. Conclusion This study will provide important reference for the application of robot technology in the field of complex terrain inspection.

Conclusion This study will provide important reference for the application of robot technology in the field of complex terrain inspection.
