Evaluation of Equipment Maintenance and Protection Capability Based on Entropy Weight TOPSIS and Pairwise Analysis Method

With the accelerated evolution of modern war patterns in the direction of informatization and intelligence, equipment maintenance and support capability has become an important element affecting the combat effectiveness of military forces, so whether the assessment of equipment maintenance and support capability is accurate or not will be directly related to the success or failure of military operations. Traditional assessment methods are often limited by subjective assignment bias and insufficient analysis of indicator correlation, which makes it difficult to accurately portray the nonlinear characteristics of the maintenance and support capability in the complex battlefield environment. To this end, this paper integrates entropy weight TOPSIS and set-pair analysis to construct an objective and systematic assessment model to evaluate the maintenance guarantee capability. The case study shows that the two methods have significant consistency in weight calculation and ranking results, which verifies the effectiveness and scientificity of the model.
