Research and Application of Borehole Stabilisation Technology in Shale Formation
Abstract The Songnan mud shale reservoir has abundant oil and gas resources. After years of exploration and development, the well pattern in this area is, the pressure system is chaotic, and fractures are well developed. During drilling, it is easy to encounter accidents and complex situations such as wellbore collapse, brings great safety risks to drilling. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research on wellbore stability technology to provide strong technical support for the safe and efficient of the Songnan mud shale reservoir. Through research and indoor analysis, the mechanism of wellbore collapse in the Songnan mud shale oil layer was revealed. experiments were conducted to select the optimal treatment agent, and finally, the anti-collapse drilling fluid technology for the Songnan mud shale oil layer was developed. Field trials shown that this anti-collapse drilling fluid technology can effectively enhance the stability of the wellbore, with no resistance or sticking during intermediate electrical measurement, meeting the of on-site construction.
