Research on the deployment of development plans for complex oil-water blocks in thin interbedded reservoirs

Abstract In response to the difficulties in deploying development plans caused by the lack of in-depth research on oil and water complex areas in thin interbedded reservoirs, the decline in new production capacity, and the difficulty in building production benefits, we have clarified the block structure and sedimentary characteristics through fine structural interpretation, seismic attributes, and inversion reservoir prediction, and re evaluated the types of reservoirs and the distribution patterns of oil and water. Multiple indicators were applied to predict the initial production capacity and reasonable parameters of the block, and reservoir numerical simulation methods were used to study the reasonable well spacing and well network of the block. The length and direction of the horizontal section of the horizontal well were optimized, and the adaptability of the well network, water injection intensity, production capacity, and economic benefits were evaluated. The overall development effect of the plan was good. Provide guidance for effective development and deployment of blocks, and also provide reference and inspiration for the deployment of development plans in other complex oil-water areas.
