Research on the Expansion Law of Reservoir Cracks by A New Type of Guanidine Fracturing Fluid
Abstract The use of guanidine gum fracturing fluid in reservoir reconstruction has shown weak crack propagation and severe reservoir pollution. Based on the above defects, exploring the expansion behavior of new guanidine gum fracturing fluid on reservoir cracks is of great significance for improving oil and gas recovery rates. This study designed a type of nano crosslinking agent that can significantly improve the fracture propagation behavior of reservoirs, and constructed a conventional reservoir fracture propagation evaluation platform. Meanwhile, study the change of different factors on the performance of oilfield working fluid and crack propagation, and reveal the mechanism of reservoir crack extension and widening of nano crosslinking agents. The research results indicate that 0.25% nano crosslinking agent can increase the fluid viscosity to 145 mPa·s, and fracture width and half fracture length of reservoir fractures can be extended to 1.2 cm and 110 m, respectively. In addition, nano crosslinking agents can significantly improve the change of temperature and shear force on the various properties of fluid, which is suitable for crack propagation in high-temperature reservoirs at 180 °C. A higher viscosity of fracturing fluid is a prerequisite for early improvement of crack propagation ability, and nano crosslinking agents are the key to stable and sustained crack propagation ability of fracturing fluid. This study provides basic data reference for the usable of guanidine fracturing fluid for crack propagation or improving oil recovery.
