Method for Determining Reasonable Single Well Production and Recovery Rate of Gas Reservoirs under Different Geological Conditions

Abstract The undisturbed flow rate determined by well testing and the empirical production allocation coefficient have certain guiding significance for the production allocation of this well. However, after the effective thickness and reservoir permeability change, the undisturbed flow rate determined by the systematic well test has limitations for the production allocation of other gas wells. In response to the above issues, numerical simulation methods are applied. By fitting the pressure, production, and different working conditions bottom flow pressure during the test gas period of the low permeability carbonate KXXX well, the production capacity of the well is determined. Based on this, the reasonable production and recovery rate under different effective thickness and permeability conditions are predicted. The research results show that: 1) Under the same thickness conditions, the greater the permeability, the greater the natural production capacity of the gas well; 2) Under the same permeability conditions, the greater the effective thickness, the greater the natural production capacity of the gas well; 3) The recovery rate of the gas reservoir is mainly affected by the permeability, and the greater the permeability, the higher the recovery rate; 4) For low permeability reservoirs, it is recommended to carry out reservoir transformation before production, and the lower the permeability, the more obvious the production increase effect of fracturing measures. Based on the numerical simulation method, the reasonable production and recovery rate under different geological conditions are determined, which improves the production allocation accuracy of the gas well after the effective thickness and reservoir permeability change, and has great guiding significance for the production allocation of the gas well.
