Application of embedded modeling method in dense well pattern sandstone oilfield
Abstract The K oilfield is a marine delta front sedimentary system. The reservoir has the characteristics of large thickness and good continuity, but the distribution of interlayers is complex and difficult to describe. Presently characterized by intensive well placement, the oilfield has entered its middle and late development stages focused on extracting remaining oil potential. In order to accurately establish the 3D geological model of K oilfield and Propose methodologies for characterizing remaining oil distribution and optimizing recovery potential, the vertical staging, lateral delimitation, section combination and plane characterization of different sedimentary microfacies are detailed studies. The top and bottom structures of each sedimentary microfacies are embedded into the three-dimensional stratigraphic model to establish the sedimentary facies model, and then the thin interlayer model is established by the secondary embedding method. Finally, the reservoir parameter model is established with different sedimentary facies as constraints. The findings demonstrate that this approach effectively captures sedimentary interpretations, improve the accuracy of the attribute model, and provides effective guidance for remaining oil potential exploitation.
