Implementation of Fuzzy Logic Control on a Multiinput LLC Resonant Converter for Wind and Solar PV in Distributed Generation Systems

This paper presents the implementation of a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for output voltage regulation in a multiinput LLC (MIC LLC) resonant converter integrating solar, wind, and battery sources. The proposed FLC-based controller maintains a stable 400V output with minimal voltage ripple under varying input conditions. Two simulations using MATLAB/ Simulink were conducted: the first evaluates FLC performance under real-world solar irradiance and wind data, while the second compares FLC and traditional PID control. Key performance metrics such as start-up time, steady-state voltage ripple, and dynamic response were analyzed. Results demonstrate that the FLC significantly improves voltage regulation and transient performance compared to PID, highlighting its effectiveness for renewable-powered MIC LLC systems.
