Environment-Related SIMO Channel Generation Based on Virtual Transmitter
Wireless channel characteristics fundamentally determine communication system performance, underscoring the critical importance of accurate channel modeling research. The multipath channel observed at the receiver can be decomposed into line-of-sight (LoS) components originating from virtual transmitters (VTxs), corresponding to mirrored images of the physical transmitter (Tx) through specular reflections. This paper proposes a novel channel modeling framework featuring VTx position refinement, utilizing an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) architecture for iterative position estimation. The proposed method generated channels for unvisited positions through VTx parameter extrapolation, with rigorous performance evaluation using channel similarity metrics and cumulative distribution function (CDF) analysis. Experimental validation reveals statistically significant enhancements in channel similarity metrics, with performance advantages becoming more pronounced at larger extrapolation distances. The proposed method establishes a new paradigm for environment-aware channel modeling, providing enhanced physical interpretability for next-generation positioning systems and adaptive communication architectures.
