Rotated Chirped Volume Bragg Gratings for Sensing and Space-Time Applications
Rotated chirped volume Bragg gratings (r-CBG) are a newly developed optical elements that spatially resolve the spectrum of a normally incident light beam in a ultra compact form-factor. Crucially, the spectrum is resolved at the immediate exit of the r-CBG facet, without the need for additional free-space propagation or optical elements. Multiplexing two gratings further expands the capabilities of the r-CBGs and makes them suitable for realizing multi-band spectrometers. Other r-CBG applications include ultra-fast pulse modulation, formation space-time wave packets and others.
