A Coordination Optimization Model for Thermal Storage Electric Boiler Systems and Energy Storage Systems Considering both the Heating Comfort and PV Accommodation
Thermal storage electric boiler systems(TSEBSs) have the advantages of adjustable operating periods and economic operational flexibility. Energy storage systems(ESSs) feature high charge-discharge efficiency, short response time, and flexible allocation locations. Both of these demand response resources have played an effective role in power dispatch and renewable energy accommodation in distribution system. In this paper, a coordination optimization model for TSEBSs and ESSs considering the heating comfort and PV accommodation is proposed. Firstly, the physical model for TSEBS is constructed. Secondly, the equivalent mathematical heat model is derived. Then, an optimization model considering both TSEBSs and ESSs is proposed, which aims at minimizing the total operation costs of distribution system and users' heating comfort, PV generators accommodation and distribution system voltage safety are considered as constraints of the optimization model. In the end, the effectiveness of the proposed optimization method is verified by an actual case studies.
