Optimal Installed Capacity Configuration of Hydro-Wind-Solar-Storage Hybrid Clean Energy Base Considering DC Transmission
To address the integration challenges of highpenetration renewable energy systems, this paper considers DC external transmission on the basis of the complementary power generation of cascade hydro, wind, photovoltaic and pumped storage, with the goal of maximizing the revenue of the clean energy base. First, this paper considers DC transmission and the power balance constraints of clean energy base, and analyzes the operating characteristics of cascade hydro power, wind power, photovoltaic power, and pumped storage. The hydro power conversion constraints undergo piecewise linearization and are resolved mixed-integer linear programming method, to evaluate the impact of pumped storage stations in multi-resource complementarity in terraced hydro-solar-wind cascades, and to solve the optimal installed capacity allocation scheme of each renewable energy generation under this model. Case results demonstrate that pumped storage power stations enhance the base's regulation capability and boost its final revenue. Finally, the study examined the impact of DC transmission line operating modes on base regulation capacity and provided optimal transmission power and adjustment frequency to verify the model's effectiveness and feasibility.
