Research on Efficient and Intelligent Communication Technology for 6G NTN
With the widespread adoption of 5G technology, its limitations in terms of coverage and network capacity have become increasingly apparent, driving the research and development of 6G technology. 6G will integrate satellite communication and integrated sensing and communication networks to achieve seamless global coverage and support emerging applications such as holographic communication and digital twins. This paper focuses on several key technologies in 6G satellite communication: IMS voice calls using GEO satellite access, resilient notification, and traffic management across different orbit satellites. By optimizing GEO satellite access capabilities, IMS voice calls ensure high-quality voice communication in remote areas and maritime environments. Resilient notification enhances network robustness in extreme conditions through dynamic adjustment mechanisms. Traffic management across different orbit satellites achieves intelligent traffic allocation and optimization by efficiently utilizing resources from LEO, MEO, and GEO satellites. Additionally, the paper analyzes the challenges faced by 6G in areas such as security, spectrum scarcity, and energy efficiency, and provides an outlook on its future development directions.
