Double-Ended Protection Scheme for Distribution Grids Based on Power Line Carrier Communication
In order to improve the protection reliability of AC-DC hybrid distribution networks, a double-ended protection scheme based on EMD algorithm and GP algorithm is proposed. Firstly, a hybrid distribution network model based on power carrier is established, and the fault characteristics of the AC-DC hybrid distribution network are analyzed under the influence of control strategy, topology, distributed capacitance, etc. Subsequently, the EMD algorithm and the GP algorithm are introduced and integrated, and the combined algorithm is used to express the frequency-domain similarity characteristics of the transient currents of the hybrid DC system and to establish the protection criterion by using the difference of the transient current correlation dimensions on both sides; Finally, the model is constructed and validated. Finally, the hybrid distribution network of power carriers is modeled and validated for the correctness, reliability and superiority of the two-terminal protection scheme based on the correlation dimension. The results show that the proposed scheme can reliably identify the fault region under strong disturbances.
