Two-Dimensional Materials for Infrared Imaging Appllication
Given to the recent progress in two dimensional materials for infrared detection, novel optoelectronic devices have been proposed. However, no clear path toward realization of infrared focal plane imagers based on 2D materials have been proposed. There are major technical challenges along with the need for scientific breakthrough to achieve the mega-pixel imagers capability to be hybridized with state-of-the-art read-out integrates circuits (ROIC). In this work, we explore possibilities and challenges for achieving reliable and high-performance focal plane arrays based on 2D materials.
