Joint Active and Passive Sensing for Cooperative Multi-Static ISAC Networks
In this paper, we consider a joint active and passive sensing (JAPS)-based cooperative multi-static integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system. An optimization problem is formulated for maximizing the sum rate of both the downlink and uplink transmissions via jointly optimizing beamforming, receive filters and power allocation, while guaranteeing the sensing requirements and transmission power constraints. However, the formulated problem is non-convex, which is challenging to solve directly. To tackle this complicated issue, we employ a high-quality alternating optimization algorithm by leveraging successive convex approximation (SCA) and fractional programming (FP). Extensive numerical results validate the performance improvement of our proposed JAPS scheme and demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithms.
