Resource Allocation Based on Oriented Hypergraph Algorithm for Multi-device Backscattered Communication Network

The backscattered communication (BSC) network is emerging as a core technology for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) due to its passive and cost-effective nature. This paper investigates the joint channel and power resource allocation problem in multi-device BSC networks, aiming to maximize the sum rate of tag-to-reader pairs. Since the joint allocation problem is NP-hard, it is transformed into an oriented hypergraph model to optimize channel and power allocation. We model both independent and cumulative interference using oriented hyperedges and employ a channel assignment strategy based on hypergraph coloring. Numerical results are provided to validate the analysis, offering novel insights and demonstrating that the proposed design can significantly enhance the sum rate and backscatter performance.
