Energy-Efficient RIS-Aided UAV-Enabled V2X Integrated Communication and Computation
Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication and computation are hindered by bandwidth constraints and substantial transmission latency. Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-assisted V2X integrated communication and computation (ICAC) offers a high-rate, low-energy computation paradigm by deploying RIS and unmanned aerial vehicles. A new performance metric, effective energy efficiency, defined as the system’s achievable rates under the unit of energy consumption, is introduced to capture the trade-offs between ICAC utilities and costs. An optimization problem for maximizing energy efficiency by optimizing communication and computation resources is proposed, which is simplified and decomposed into two sub-problems, and solved by an adaptive optimization algorithm based on block coordinate descent. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed adaptive optimization scheme effectively enhances energy efficiency.
