Intelligent Deterministic Transmission Scheduling for High-speed Railway Communication Networks
In this paper, we investigate a deterministic transmission scheduling problem for high-speed railway (HSR) communication networks which integrate intra-train networks, ground networks, and train-to-ground networks, to guarantee the deterministic co-transmission performance and satisfy the distinct quality of service requirements of mixed flows. We propose a multi-queue cycle specified queuing and forwarding (MQCSQF) mechanism to address the link congestion and utilization efficiency challenges posed by the heterogeneous transmission rates in HSR communication networks, ensuring efficient and deterministic transmission. Specifically, we formulate the deterministic transmission scheduling as a stochastic optimization problem to maximize the number of successfully scheduled flows. Taking into account the time complexity of scheduling mixed flows, it is difficult for traditional optimization algorithms to solve the formulated problem and utilize link resources efficiently. Thus, we develop a rainbow-based MQCSQF scheduling algorithm to make a mix-flow scheduling decision. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively increase the number of successfully scheduled flows at different transmission rates and flow proportions.
