Low Complexity Turbo Receiver using Interference Sparsity for Massive MIMO
In this paper, we propose a low complexity receiver for massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications. We first introduce the beam based statistical channel model (BSCM). By using the sparsity of the beam domain channel and interference, we then derive the low-complexity turbo receiver, which reduces the complexity of the minimum mean square error (MMSE) receiver by reducing the dimension of matrix operations. We also present efficient implementation of the low-complexity turbo receiver. Simulation results show that the proposed receiver can achieve performance close to the MMSE turbo receiver with low computational cost.
