Structural analysis and optimization of copper foil cyclone separator based on ANSYS

Abstract Aiming to address the problems of low separation efficiency and uneven distribution of flow fields in traditional cyclone separators, a design method based on multi-parameter coupling optimization is proposed. Using the ANSYS Fluent platform, combined with the Realizable k-ε turbulence model and discrete phase model, the influence of the size ratio of air inlet and air outlet on the separation performance of sheet materials such as copper foil was systematically studied, and the existing separators were optimized. The experimental results show that, at the inlet wind speed of 15 m/s, the separation efficiency first increases and then decreases with the increase of the inlet size, and the maximum separation efficiency is 98.4% when the inlet size is 100 mm, while it increases and then decreases with the increase of the outlet size, and the maximum separation efficiency is 94.52% when the outlet size is 35 mm. The experimental simulation results of the optimized cyclone separator are consistent with the actual separation state, and the separation effect is better, which provides a reference for the design of special-shaped particle separation equipment.
