Study on the grinding performance of moving magnetic poles of lifting permanent magnets with oils on water

Abstract In this paper, a novel attached-drop atomizing nozzle is used, aiming to improve the grinding processing performance of moving magnetic poles of lifting permanent magnets, enhance their processing quality, and solve the problems of magnetic leakage and pole resetting difficulties. Grinding experiments were conducted under three cooling lubrication methods: dry grinding, emulsion coolant, and Oil on Water (OoW) by building an OoW generator. The experimental results show that under low air supply conditions, the novel attached-drop atomizing nozzle combined with a small amount of environmentally friendly media can achieve better cooling and lubrication than traditional emulsion coolant, significantly reducing the grinding force and temperature, and effectively improving the problem of poor magnetic pole reset.
