Development of a fatigue performance test device for materials in high-temperature oxygen-containing environments
Abstract A modular high-temperature fatigue test equipment was developed based on electromagnetic induction heating technology. The equipment was used to conduct low-cycle fatigue tests on Inconel 718 alloy, a typical material for aircraft engine turbine blades, at room temperature and 700 °C high-temperature oxygen-containing environments, and the low-cycle fatigue data and cyclic stress response curves of Inconel 718 alloy in these two environments were obtained. The results show that under the same temperature conditions, the fatigue life of the alloy increases with the decrease in strain amplitude, and the fatigue life of the alloy gradually decreases with the increase in temperature. This is in line with the law of metal fatigue life, thus verifying the effectiveness of the test equipment in fatigue performance testing in a high-temperature oxygen-containing environment.
