Simulation of residual stress in SLM formed SK static mixer based on the intrinsic strain method for heat treatment
Abstract In the selective laser melting forming process, the high-density energy input of the laser makes the melting and solidification speed of metal powder too fast, resulting in a very large temperature gradient in the forming process of the component, which results in a large residual thermal stress in the component. Heat treatment is one of the effective methods to reduce the residual stress. Based on the finite element method and the modified inherent strain theory, it is found that the residual stress decreases with the increase of heat treatment temperature under the same heat treatment time.
