Bringing Memory Safety Close to the Wire

Memory safety is critical in network programming to prevent vulnerabilities like buffer overflows and use-after-free. Rust's memory-safe design eliminates common bugs, making secure software a necessity. We present nethuns-rs, a Rust-based, memory-safe socket library for high-performance network I/O.

Abstract

Memory safety is critical in network programming to prevent vulnerabilities like buffer overflows and use-after-free. Rust's memory-safe design eliminates common bugs, making secure software a necessity. We present nethuns-rs, a Rust-based, memory-safe socket library for high-performance network I/O.
